Survey Description

In March of 2007, a long-term monitoring well was drilled in the vicinity of the Mission Creek Recreation Park south of Kelowna, British Columbia.  Thirty-nine boxes of core were collected over 88 m until water was reached.  Thirty-three samples of sediment (till + unknown) were sent for grain size and geochemical analysis.

Between September 5 and October 7, 2007, regional sediment samples were collected around Okanagan Lake, between Summerland and Vernon.  Ninety-two samples of till and other sediments were sent for grain size analysis and the <0.063 mm fraction of 64 till samples was sent for geochemical analysis.

The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 6507.
