Project Description
Regional geochemical studies were carried out in the Keno Hill-Galena Hill area in 1953-1955 and over a larger part of the Keno Hill area in 1964. At that time, geochemical prospecting was being recognized as a valuable tool in the search for hidden ore bodies. A summary of the work done follows:

The 1964 reconnaissance geochemical survey was helicopter-supported and was the first of its kind carried out by the Geological Survey of Canada.
