Central Newfoundland till survey, 1983
Project Description
In 1983, a geochemical orientation survey was carried out on the Great Gull property to determine which surficial sample medium and which element(s) could be used most effectively and economically in the search for tungsten mineralization. Of all the elements analyzed, tungsten is the only effective element, in any sample medium, component or size fraction for delineating the tungsten mineralization and associated dispersal trains. An interpretation of the work can be found in Prospecting in Areas of Glaciated Terrain-1988, p.587.
