Northwestern Ontario lake sediment and water survey, 1987



Project Description

NGR lake sediment and water infill surveys were carried out in 1987 in 4 areas of northwestern Ontario:  Marathon, Beardmore-Jellicoe, Lac des Iles and Crooked Pine Lake.  These areas were sampled as part of a study to determine the feasibility of using lake bottom sediments as a prospecting tool for precious metals. The data are published in GSC Open File 2026.
