Northeastern Ontario soil and till sampling survey, 1995-1996
Project Description
Regional till and humus samples were collected in the Timmins-Kamiskotia area, northeastern Ontario in 1995 and 1996. The humus samples were collected to evaluate it as an exploration medium and to determine the regional geochemical composition of humus. The regional till samples were collected to determine geochemical backgrounds and identify patterns related to different bedrock lithologies and geochemical anomalies related to bedrock mineralization. The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 3675.
