Northwestern Manitoba till sampling surveys, 1983-1988
Project Description
In 1983 the Geological Survey of Canada began a program of systematic till sampling and surficial geological mapping in northwestern Manitoba. The primary objective of the sampling was to map variations in chemical and mineralogical components of till that may be related to bedrock mineralization as an aid to mineral exploration within the area. The following areas were sampled:
NTS | Sampling Year | Publication |
Granville Lake 64C | 1983, 1984 | GSC OF 1204 |
Brochet 64F | 1984 | GSC OF 1205 |
Northwest Manitoba 64B,G, 63N and parts of 63O,K | 1983-1988 |
GSC OF 2118 (also republishes data from NTS 64C and 64F) |
Wheatcroft Lake area, 64C/1, 2, 7 | 1986 | Suttner MSc. thesis (McGill University, 1989) |
