Project Description

A project involving surficial mapping and drift sampling was conducted in east central Saskatchewan to aid mineral exploration by developing drift prospecting methods suitable to the area.  This included the identification of chemical and mineralogical components of till associated with mineralization, the establishment of regional geochemical database to help determine background and anomalous concentrations of those components and understanding the Quaternary geology and glacial history of the area in order to understand geochemical dispersal patterns.  The data are published in GSC Open File 3026.
