BRiM Project: Black River-Matheson till sampling survey carried out in 1984-1988



Project Description

The Black River-Matheson (BRiM) project is an interdisciplinary, multi-year (1984-1988) geoscience project initiated to stimulate mineral exploration, discovery and development in an area centered on the town of Matheson, Ontario.  Reconnaissance scale till sampling and geochemistry was one component of the project and was designed to document the regional Quaternary stratigraphy and to provide baseline till geochemical data.  Data published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Reports 5749 and 5800.
