TREK Project Geochemistry, Interior Plateau, British Columbia, 2013-2014

Project Description

The Targeting Resources for Exploration and Knowledge (TREK) Project is a multi-year, multi-disciplinary project focusing on providing a new geological understanding the central part of British Columbia’s Interior Plateau.  The geochemistry program within TREK has three components:

TREK Component Data Sources Final Publication
compilation of historical data from previous geochemical surveys see Table 1 in Sacco and Jackaman’s paper in Summary of Activities 2014, Geoscience BC Report 2015-1
collection of new geochemical and mineralogical data new samples collected in 2013 and 2014 Geoscience BC Open File Reports 2014-10 and 2015-12
reanalyses of archived till samples

BCGS OFs 1994-18, 1997-11, 2002-11, 2006-01, 2009-09

Project Funding

Funding was provided by Geoscience BC, a not for profit society incorporated under the British Columbia Societies Act.  Geoscience BC generates independent, relevant, public earth science research and data about British Columbia’s minerals, energy and water resources. This advances knowledge, informs responsible development, encourages investment and stimulates innovation.
