Barkerville (east central British Columbia) till sampling project carried out in 2000
Project Description
Till sampling was carried out in 2000 in the Wells-Stony Creek area in east central British Columbia as part of an integrated resource assessment program which aims to define the mineral potential of the Cariboo region. The Barkerville Project is centred primarily over rocks of the Barkerville and Slide Mountain terranes. This area as chosen because of the high mineral potential for lode gold and placers and the need for this type of data due to increasing industry exploration activity in the Cariboo region. The data are published in British Columbia Geological Survey Open File 2001-10.
