Central Labrador lake sediment and water sampling, 1998, soil, till and stream water sampling, 1999.
A two year program was set up to investigate regional base metal anomalies in reconnaissance lake sediment data collected by the Geological Survey of Canada. The first phase consisted of a high density lake sediment survey covering four areas of central Labrador. The data are published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Mines and Energy Open File LAB/1311. From this work, the Wilson Lake and Seal Lake areas were selected for the soil/till survey. In addition, 16 rock samples were collected. These data are published in Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Mines and Energy Open File LAB/1327.
