Knee Lake Project, 2012.
Project Description
In 2012, Quaternary studies were carried out in the Knee Lake and Oxford House Map sheets. The objectives of this project are:
- compile and update surficial geology maps;
- interpret the glacial history; and
- conduct a till-sampling program
This work builds on detailed till geochemistry and kimberlite-indicator mineral data collected during the Knee Lake component (1999-2001) of Manitoba Geological Survey’s Operation Superior.
The data are published in MGS Geoscientific paper GP2013-3.
The report also includes the following data from the Knee Lake component of Operation Superior:
- KIM data previously published in MGS Open File Report 2001-2
- previously unpublished field data
