Project Description
The recent development of geochemical techniques based on sequential, phase specific and partial digestions coupled with analytical technological advances has provided an opportunity to "see through" transported and other types of overburden. This project was undertaken to assess selective- and partial-extraction techniques applied to a variety of mineral deposit types and as an adjunct to multimedia geochemical surveys (Operation Superior).
The enzyme leach approach to geochemical prospecting represents a commercially available technique that has application to blind and/or buried mineralization. This analytical technique formed the basis for surveys conducted over various deposit types:
