Overburden geochemical and Quaternary stratigraphic studies have been undertaken in selected areas of the Phanerozoic terrane of southern Manitoba in response to the discovery of the Doan galena pebble near Balmoral.  These studies as well as base metal analyses on Phanerozoic drill core from the Manitoba Energy and Mines drill core library were undertaken to find the source of the galena float.  The data from the geochemistry part of the project is published in Manitoba Department of Energy and Mines GP 87-1.
