Survey Description


218 till samples were collected in the Serpentine Lake area, north central New Brunswick in 1990 and 1991.  89 archived till samples from a project in the same area (M. Lamothe’s Miramichi project) were also analysed and all the data were published in GSC Open File 2246.

Data Description:

Paper report with 1 diskette (Excel 3.0).

Quantities Analysed:

<0.063 mm fraction by INAA for 29 elements and by XRF for 14 elements.

Geochem Maps Available:

Proportional dot maps showing regional dispersal of elements.

The data have also been published as part of a compilation for NTS 21O, 21N and 22B in New Brunswick DNRED Open File OF 2021-2.

  • Covers NTS 21O/2, in the Serpentine Lake mapsheet area, north central New Brunswick.  Long Lake and Trousers Lake are located in the southwest corner of the study area.
