Survey Description
In 1976, a lake sediment sampling survey was conducted by the SDBJ, in the Kinglet area, Quebec. The area covers 20,900 km2. A total of 3994 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 5.2 km2.
Samples were analyzed for Co, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, U and Zn.
The data are published in Open File GM 34171, Department of Natural Resources, 1979. Geochemical maps are published in Open File GM 34173.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers the west half of NTS 33I (Lac Mistanukaw), all of 33J (Lac Kinglet) and 33K/1 (Ruisseau Barneuf), /8 (Lac Barrois), /9 (Lac Silvy), /16 (Lac Bondesir). The Kinglet area is located in the Nord-du-Québec region. It is bounded by latitudes 54° and 55° and longitudes 73° and 76°30'.
