Survey Description
During the summer field seasons of 2002 to 2004 BHP Billiton Diamonds Inc. collected a total of 5243 till samples from the Repulse Bay area, Nunavut. The project area encompasses the Hamlet of Repulse Bay and covers most of the Rae Isthmus. The sampling was carried out as follows:

Till samples were processed for KIMs at Overburden Drilling Management in Nepean, ON. KIMs recovered from HMCs were identified on visual characteristics only at CF Minerals in Kelowna, BC and require analytical confirmation as well as analysis for interpretation of their significance.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 46K (Hurd Channel), 46L (Repulse Bay), 46M (Lefroy Bay) and 46N (Miertsching Lake) near the hamlet of Repulse Bay, central Nunavut. The study area covers most of the Rae Isthmus, which connects the southwest part of Melville Peninsula to the mainland.
