Survey Description


In the years 2003 and 2004, Ashton Mining (Northwest Terretories) Ltd. collected 473 heavy mineral samples from the Kim, Vic and Eokok Properties in the Kikerk Lake area of western Nunavut Territory. The samples were collected as part of a heavy mineral sampling program for diamond exploration. The properties cover parts of NTS 86P/2-3, 6-7 and are located approximately 100 km southeast from the community of Kugluktuk, NU, south of Coronation Gulf in the Kitikmeot District. The data can be found in Nunavut Assessment Report 084826.
