Survey Description
During the summer of 2003, several hundred heavy mineral samples were collected from the Ric and Kim Properties in the Coronation Gulf Region of southwest Nunavut. The Ric Claims are located proximal to Inulik Lake approximately 150 km southeast of Kugluktuk, within NTS map sheets 86I/10 and 15. The Kim Claims are located along the eastern margin of Kikerk Lake approximately 120 southeast of Kugluktuk, within NTS map sheets 86P/03 and 06. The samples were collected by Ashton Mining (Northwest Territories) Ltd.
The data from only 63 of the several hundred heavy mineral samples collected during the field program can be found in Nunavut Assessment Report 084618.
