Survey Description
During the 2001 and 2002 summer field seasons, 108 till samples were collected on the Earth and Wind Claims in the Napaktulik Lake area of southwest Nunavut. The claims are located approximately 450 km north of Yellowknife on NTS map sheets 86I/6, 7, 10, 11, and 15. Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. conducted this exploration program to follow up anomalous results from Kennecott’s 1997-2001 geochemical programs and anomalous reconnaissance till sampling by Benachee Resources Ltd. and Snowpipe Resources Inc. during the 1993-1995 assessment period. The data from Benachee Resources Ltd. and Snowpipe Resources Inc can be found in Nunavut Assessment Report 083539.
