Survey Description
During the period August 29 to September 25, 2004, a total of 98 till samples were collected from frost boils at 113 sites down-ice from magnetic anomalies on the HR, TX and BL claim blocks, in the Hood River area, western Nunavut. The area is located approximately 250 km north of the Ekati Diamond Mine.
Samples were sent to SGS Lakefield Research in Lakefield, Ontario for processing. SEM checks were done on an as-needed basis.
During the period September 6 to 15, 2005, more sampling was completed on the HR, TX and BL claim blocks. A total of 28 till samples were collected from frost boils at 51 sites down-ice from unexplained magnetic features. An additional 60 till samples were collected along six till fences. The samples were sent to Overburden Drilling Management in Nepean, ON for processing. SEM checks were done on an as-needed basis.
No further work was done on this property and the claims were allowed to lapse.
