Survey Description
During 1998 and 1999, detailed heavy mineral till sampling was conducted on the JD claims in order to pinpoint potential sources of kimberlite indicator minerals. The claims are located approximately 450 km north-northeast of Yellowknife in the Contwoyto Lake area. A total of 415 samples were collected over the two year period. The 1998 samples were sent for processing at HDM Laboratories in Colorado. The samples collected in 1999 were sent to Tahera Corporation’s Laboratory in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
The data can be found in Nunavut Assessment Report 084283.
