Survey Description
During the summer of 1999, a bedrock and till sampling program was carried out by WMC International Limited over two prospecting permits located approximately 90 km west of the hamlet of Arviat. A total of 26 samples were taken at a spacing of 2 km. The 10 kg sub-samples were sent to Overburden Drilling Management for gold grain counts. The -63 um sub-samples were sent to ITS Bondar Clegg for Au +34 element analysis by FAA and aqua-regia ICPAES.
