Survey Description


During the summer of 1996, exploration on the Kikerk Lake claim block continued.  The claim is located 530 km north of Yellowknife.  A total of 121 samples of till were collected and processed for kimberlitic indicator minerals.  The samples were processed at the De Beer’s laboratory in Grande Prairie, AB.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 86I/14, (Inulik Lake) 15, 86P/2, 3, 6, in northern Nunavut.  It is located approximately 560 km north of Yellowknife in the Kikerk Lake area.
