Survey Description


During the summer of 1996, a total of 2575 sediment samples were collected on the Rockinghorse Lake property, approximately 410 km north of Yellowknife.  The samples were collected by a combination of helicopter and ground crews along fences perpendicular to ice flow direction on NTS sheets 76E/13, 76L/04, 86H/16 and 86 I/1, 2, 7.

The samples were processed for kimberlite indicator minerals at De Beers' laboratory in Grande Prairie, AB.
