Survey Description
In August 1997, helicopter-supported till sampling was carried out in the DIA claim block Contwoyto Lake area, approximately 350 km northeast of Yellowknife in Nunavut and Northwest Territories. The samples, 181 in total, were collected from mudboils at 500 m spacing on the down ice side of the property boundary.
The samples were processed for heavy minerals at the Kennecott Canada Heavy Mineral Laboratory in Thunder Bay, ON. Selected indicator minerals were sent to R.L. Barnett in London, ON for probe analyses. The samples have been SEM checked, however data was not available at time of report.
The data, excluding probe analyses, can be found in Nunavut Assessment Report 084083.
