Survey Description


In 1978 and 1979, till samples were collected 100 to 200 m apart on zig-zag lines near Oldham, Nova Scotia.  Where possible samples were collected at 10 to 40 cm vertical intervals in sections up to 2.5 m deep in oxidized till.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers very small parts of NTS 11D/13 (Mount Uniacke) and 11D/14 (Musquodoboit Harbour) in central Nova Scotia.  It is located just north of Halifax Stanfield International Airport and extends as far north as Oldham.  Oldham Road runs north-south through the centre of the study area which lies approximately 2.6 km east of Highway 102 (Veteran’s Memorial Highway).
