Survey Description
In 1994 and 1995, a regional low-density survey was carried out in southern Ontario, including the Greater Toronto Area, at a density of 1 sample per 1,600 km 2. Approximately 296 two kilogram paired soil samples (A, C horizon) and 300 till samples were collected.
The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 8452.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 30L, M, 40I, J, P, 31B, C, D, E, F, G, K, L and 41A, G, H, I, J, K, most of southern Ontario. It is bounded to the northeast by the Ontario-Quebec border, to the west by Lake Huron and to the south by lakes Ontario and Erie.
