Survey Description

In the summers of 2008 and 2009, till and esker samples were collected in the area of the East Arm of Great Slave Lake, Northwest Territories.  The area covers parts of NTS map sheets 75E, R, J, K, L, N, O and P in the Thaidene Nene MERA study area.  The following samples were collected:

Year of Sampling Sample Type Number of Samples
2008 till 255
2008 esker sediment 220
2009 till 51

The samples were processed for gold grains and indicator minerals in addition to geochemistry.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open Files 7196 and 7649 (data integrated from OF 7196 and OF 7351).
