Survey Description

In 2012, fifteen till samples were collected near the Izok Lake Zn-Cu-Pb-Ag volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit in Nunavut and Northwest Territories to complement published data (GSC OFs 7046, 7075, 7343) for 64 till samples collected in 2009 and 2010.  Two gossanous bedrock samples were also collected 1 km southwest of the deposit to recover and study the indicator mineral gahnite (Zn spinel) and complement bedrock data published in GSC OF 7173.

The data for samples collected in 2012 are published as follows:

GSC Open File Data
7386 raw indicator mineral weight and abundance data
7770 till geochemistry
7603 gahnite study
