Survey Description


In May 2007, thirteen till samples were collected for geochemistry and indicator minerals at 12 sites around the NICO Au-Co-Bi deposit, Great Bear magmatic zone, central Northwest Territories.  A total of 27 bedrock samples were also collected for indicator minerals.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 6723.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 85N/10 (Bea Lake), around the NICO deposit, central Northwest Territories.  Its southwest corner is located approximately 4 km northeast of Hislop Lake and its southeast corner is located approximately 160 km northwest from Yellowknife.
