Survey Description
During the summer of 2009, approximately 300 till samples were collected on the Cumberland Peninsula, eastern Baffin Island, Qikiqtaaluk Region, Nunavut.
The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 6763.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 16D+E (Hoare Bay), 16K+L (Cape Dyer)26H (Abraham Bay), 26I (Pangnirtung), 26J (Clearwater Fiord) and 26K (Amittok Lake) on the west and southern parts of the Cumberland Peninsula, eastern Baffin Island, Nunavut. It is bounded to the west by Cumberland Sound and to the south by Davis Strait. The village of Pangnirtung lies in the western part of the study area.

Covers a small part of NTS 26O (Nedlukseak Fiord) on the Cumberland Peninsula, eastern Baffin Island, Nunavut. The Ranger River flows through the study area, which lies just southwest of the Penny Ice Cap.

Covers part of NTS 16M (Padloping Island) on the east side of Cumberland Peninsula, southeastern Baffin Island, Nunavut. It is bounded to the northeast by Davis Strait.
