Survey Description


In 2005, till and kimberlite samples were collected from the KL-01 and KL-22 kimberlites in the Lake Timiskaming kimberlite field, northeastern Ontario.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 5800.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 41P/8 (Lady Evelyn Lake) near the KL-01 kimberlite, in the west part of the Lake Timiskaming kimberlite field, northern Ontario.  It is located approximately 45 km west of the town of Haileybury, Ontario.

  • Covers part of NTS 41P/8 (Lady Evelyn Lake) near the KL-22 kimberlite, in the west part of the Lake Timiskaming kimberlite field, northern Ontario.  It is located approximately 40 km west of the town of Haileybury, Ontario.
