Survey Description


Stream sediment and water samples were collected at 366 sites in central New Brunswick in the summer of 2001.  Sample sites were distributed over a 1,062 km2 survey area at an average of one sample per 2.9 km2.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 4410/New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Open File Report 2002-6.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.

  • Covers the east half of NTS 21J/11 (Juniper) in central New Brunswick.
