Survey Description
Helicopter-supported sample collection was carried out during the summer of 1989 in the Sheldon Lake area, east-central Yukon. Stream sediment and water samples were collected at 886 sites at an average density of one sample per 13 km2 throughout the 11 500 km2 survey area. Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples. The data are published in GSC Open File 2173.
The stream silt sediment samples were reanalyzed by ICP-MS in 2008 and published in GSC Open File 5694. This open file also includes the data previously published in Open File 2173.
This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
