Survey Description


During the summer of 1988, truck-supported stream sediment and water sampling was carried out in northeastern New Brunswick.  Samples were collected at an average density of one sample per 2 km2 throughout the 1,050 km2 survey area.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 1955.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers the east half of NTS 21O/8 and the west half of 21P/5 in northeastern New Brunswick.  Bounded to the south by latitude 47.25°, to the north by latitude 47.5°, to the west by longitude 66.25° and to the east by longitude 65.75°.
