Survey Description
During the summer of 1987, helicopter and truck-supported stream sediment and water sampling was carried out in southeast Yukon. Samples were collected at an average density of one sample per 13 km2 throughout the 11,900 km2 survey area. Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples. The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 1649.
The stream silt sediment samples were reanalyzed by ICP-MS in 2008 and published in GSC Open File 6043. This open file also includes the data previously published in Open File 1649.
This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
