Survey Description

Helicopter-supported lake water collection was carried out during the summer of 1982 in southern Ontario.  Samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 13 km2 throughout the survey area.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 899.  This Open File also publishes reanalyses of lake sediments collected in 1976 previously published in Open Files 405 and 406. Many of the lakes sampled for water in 1982 correspond with lakes sampled for sediments only in 1976.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
