Survey Description

During the summer of 1981, helicopter and truck-supported stream sediment and water sampling was carried out in the Hope area of southern British Columbia.  Samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 14.3 km2.  One field duplicate sample was routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data were published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 865 and in British Columbia Regional Geochemical Survey RGS-7 in 1982.  In 1994, original field and analytical results as well as new INAA data for 26 elements were released as GSC OF 2665/BC RGS-39.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
