Survey Description


Lake sediments were collected in Northwest Territories north of Great Bear Lake.  The data are published in GSC Open File 328.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers the northern three quarters of NTS 86L and the eastern quarter of NTS 96I in the North West Territories.  The study area is bounded by Great Bear Lake to the south and west.

  • Covers a small part of the southeast corner of NTS 86L/1 (Echo Bay) in eastern Northwest Territories. It is bounded to the west by Great Bear Lake.
