The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers Banks Island (NTS 88B,C,D,F, 97G,H and 98A,B,C,D,E,F) in Northwest Territories. It is bounded to the north by M’Clure Strait, to the south by Amundsen Gulf, to the east by Prince of Wales Strait and to the west by the Beaufort Sea.
