Survey Description

In January and February 1989, 197 reverse circulation drill holes were completed pm Cambior Inc.’s Casa-Berardi property in the Abitibi greenstone belt, northwestern Quebec.  From the drilling program, 1521 samples of overburden (Matheson Till) and 209 bedrock samples were collected.

The overburden samples were processed for heavy minerals.  The concentrates were examined for gold, and then analyzed by Bondar-Clegg for Au, As, Cu, Zn and Ag.  The bedrock chips underwent whole rock and trace element analyses (Au, As, Cu, Zn and Ag).

The data are published in GM 49285, a report submitted to the Government of Quebec.
