Survey Description

In April and May 1987, 64 reverse circulation drill holes were completed on 4 grids on the Chapais West property of Minnova Inc. in the Chapais area, north-central Quebec.  From the drilling program, samples of overburden and bedrock chip samples were collected.

The overburden samples were processed for heavy minerals.  The concentrates were examined for gold, and then analyzed by Bondar-Clegg for Au, As, Cu, Zn and Ag.  The bedrock chips underwent whole rock and trace element analyses.

The data are published in GM 46449, a report submitted to the Government of Quebec.
