Survey Description
In 1986, samples from 46 reverse circulation drill holes were collected in the Chapais area, Quebec. Approximately 100 till samples were processed for gold at Overburden Drilling Management (ODM).
Alluvial heavy minerals were also collected, and 140 samples were analysed by INAA.
The drill logs, geochemical data and data from ODM are published in GM 44564, a report submitted to the Government of Quebec.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers part of NTS 32G/06 (Lac Doda) and a small part of 32G/11 (Lac Dickson) in the Chapais area of central Quebec. It is located just west of Rivière Opawica. The centre of the study area is approximately 5 km northeast of Lac Doda and 38 km southwest of the town of Chapais.
