Survey Description
In 1983, a soil sampling survey from horizons A and B, was conducted in Richardson township. The area covers 11 km2. A total of 528 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.02 km2. Samples were analyzed for:

In 1985, a second soil sampling survey was conducted in the same area and in the Umex and Caopatina region. A total of 1219 samples were collected perpendicular to geophysical conductor traces identified in a 1983 survey, at an average density of 1 sample per 0.01km2. The samples were analysed for:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 32J/1 (Lac Waconichi). These surveys include a segment 9 km long between Lac Waconichi and Lac Chebistuan, Richardson township, Umex area in Ribourde and Saussure townships and Caopatina area in Gamache and Hazeur townships. It is situated in the Chibougamau region. It is bounded by latitudes 50°06' and 50°07'30" and longitudes 74°03'45" and 74°11'30".
