Survey Description
Between 1979 and1982, a soil sampling survey was conducted in the Mine Hunter rhyolitic complex, Quebec. The area covers 12.5 km2. A total of 33 samples from horizon Ah, Oh or H were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.4 km2.
Samples were analyzed for Cu, Zn, Pb, Ni, Co, Mn, U, Mo, Hg, As, Fe, Li and loss on ignition.
The data are published in Open File MB 85-53, Department of Energy and Resources, 1985.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 32D/11 (Palmarolle). The Hunter mine is located in the Palmarolle-Duparquet region. It is situated 50 km north of Rouyn-Noranda and 25 km north of La Sarre. It includes lots 19-32, rg. 10, Duparquet township and rg. 1, Palmarolle township. It is bounded by latitudes 48°32'N and 48°37'N and longitudes 79°09'W and 79°18'W.
