Survey Description
In 1979, a soil sampling survey was conducted in reserved land #17, in the northwestern Quebec. The area covers 7 km2. A total of 222 samples from horizon A0 were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.03 km2.
Samples were analyzed for Ag, As, Co, Cu, Hg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sn, U and Zn.
The data are published in Open File GM 40625, Department of Energy and Resources, 1984.

Covers NTS 32D/8 (La Motte). The reserve land #17 is situated in Villemontel and Figuery townships, Abitibi-Est county. The northeastern corner is located 12 km south of Amos. It is bounded by latitudes 48°25'45"N and 48°30'N latitude and 78°11'W and 78°22'W longitude.
