Survey Description
In 1981, a soil sampling survey was conducted in the Lac à la Prêle area, Quebec. The area covers 8.5 km2. A total of 137 samples from horizon A0 were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.02 km2 and spaced at 120 m along the lines.
Samples were analyzed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Ag, Mn, Hg, As, Mo, U, Li, Sn, Fe and loss on ignition.
The data are published in Open File GM 40329, Department of Energy and Resources, 1983.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 32D/9 (Amos). The Lac à la Prêle area is situated in the reserve land #2, at 17 km northwest of the city of Amos and less than 1 km south of Trécesson village. The property includes the south parts of lots 41-50, rg. 9 and 10 and north parts of lots 41-50, rg. 8. It is bounded by latitudes 48°41' and 48°42'43" and longitudes 78°14'59" and 78°17'.
