Survey Description


In 1955-1956, a soil sampling survey was conducted in the Chibougamau area, Quebec.  The area covers 384 km2.  A total of 4000 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.1 km2 and analysed:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of 32G/16 (Chibougamau).  The Chibougamau area includes Obalski and McKenzie counties.  It also includes Île Merrill and Baie des Cèdres.
