Survey Description

In 1978 and 1979, a geochemical survey was carried out in the Guigues and Fabre areas, Témiscamingue, Quebec.  The area covers approximately 330 km 2.  A total of 180 humus samples were collected from fields or forests near roads at an average density of 1 sample per 1.9 km 2.  Samples were taken from the horizon A h. and were analysed for Cu, Zn, Pb, Ni, Co, Mn, Ag, Fe, Mo, Sn, Li, As, Hg using atomic absorption.  The paper chromatography technique was used for the determination of uranium.  The data are published in DV83-02, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec.

This survey is part of a compilation of geochemical surveys published in DV 87-22.
